Giving Thanks

On every other day, we struggle against injustice and discuss the problems we face. On this day, I give thanks for all my blessings. Dedicated to the next generation - Kevin, Milo and Lucas.

I give thanks and soul-felt appreciation for my wonderful family. I've been blessed with countless friends as well. All of them have been my teachers, my partners and more. I thank my wise and kind parents, who have given me everything - most importantly their inspiring example and abiding passion for doing for others.

I've been blessed with a dear sister and brother, cousins, aunts and uncles and friends who support me with their love. They've all always been there for me as I've tried to be there for them. I also give thanks for those relatives and friends who've passed on, especially my grandparents whose example I try to emulate. I will hold their memories forever.

I give thanks for my country, and all the opportunities and freedoms afforded me. My passion for my work arises from out of this appreciation for all that's good and great about the United States of America. I am thankful for those who've sacrificed to make it all possible, and for those who continue to sacrifice to ensure life goes on as well as it does.

I understand that the USA is one nation among many, on this tiny speck of galactic dirt with life-giving water and air. I give thanks for all things essential for our existence, in awe of the long chain of improbable events which brought us here.

I am eternally thankful for all the people and events which contributed to my happiness and fulfillment. I am thankful for you, my readers, who support this site. Have a wonderful, Happy Thanksgiving!
