Votergate Election Theft
Black Box Voting Update
blackboxvoting.org continues to
expose voting machine problems and scandals contending "Large payments from
[voting machine company] Diebold are fueling influence-peddling in Ohio and Cook
County/Chicago" and calls upon activists "to come to Sacramento to request
statewide decertification of Diebold." Also, "Black Box Voting has identified a
problem with security which occurs if a single Diebold touch-screen is added to
optical-scan (paper based) locations." And "Black Box Voting has been looking
into the situation in Los Angeles, where an unusual voting system is used, the
InkaVote. That system is owned by International Lottery and Totalizator Systems
(ILTS). A politically-connected Malaysian gambling outfit owns ILTS."

Untested, Insecure Voting Machines Wrongly Certified
Bev Harris writes: Freedom of Information requests at blackboxvoting.org have unearthed two
Ciber certification reports indicating that security and tamperability was not
tested and that several state elections directors, a secretary of state, and Dr.
Britain Williams signed off on the report anyway, certifying it. The documents,
posted at Black Box Voting (.ORG) show that Ciber Labs' Shawn Southworth used a
conformance chart specifying FEC regulations, marking each test item "pass" or
"fail."
Southworth "tested" whether every candidate on the ballot has a name. But we
were shocked to find out that, when asked the most important question - about
vulnerable entry points - Southworth's report says "not reviewed." Now, if the
security of the U.S. electoral system depends on you to certify a voting system,
and you get a report that says security was "not tested" and "not applicable" -
what would you do?

Help Investigate the 2004 Voter Fraud
Bev Harris, Executive Director of Black
Box Voting writes: Our organization has taken the position that fraud took
place in the 2004 election through electronic voting machines. We base this on
hard evidence, documents obtained in public records requests, inside
information, and other data indicative of manipulation of electronic voting
systems. What we do not know is the specific scope of the fraud. We are working
now to compile the proof, based not on soft evidence - red flags, exit polls -
but core documents obtained by Black Box Voting in the most massive Freedom of
Information action in history. Here's how you can help.

Votergate Election Theft
Becoming A Dissident
E. OConnell explains how he became a dissident. "The stolen 2000 election politicized me," he writes, adding, "I discovered my own political identity over a period of years as a young man. I always voted against the greater of two evils. I had opinions, but I didn't engage, didn't march, didn't contribute, and didn't write articles to thousands of strangers on email lists. Then they stole the 2000 election."

I'm Not "Getting Over It"
Mike Hersh writes: Al Gore won Florida in 2000. To gain an unfair advantage, Florida Republicans targeted 100,000s of innocent people - mainly Blacks - and robbed them of their voting rights. This was cynical, racist, immoral, and illegal. We can speculate about their motivations, but the results are clear: gross violations of the Voting Rights Act. That is why I am not "getting over it." No one should.
