Rights and Freedoms
The Bush regime wants to decide who should lead nations like Venezuela, Zimbabwe and Iraq. Why not? After all, they seized power in a judicial coup d'etat when the Supreme Court illegally selected Bush. Why aren't we outraged?
Our freedom rests on the right to vote, and have our votes counted. Bush and the Republicans exploited our system's vulnerability, and ignored our Constitution. But this is not about any political party. It is about the Bush regime which is out of control and attacking the American people.
Forty-one years ago, another Republican left office with honor and dignity. When he retired, Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us:
"We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the Military Industrial Complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals so that security and liberty may prosper together."
Ike might have been talking about the Bush coup and their misuse of the "War on Terror" to suppress dissent. Sadly, our media refuses to alert our citizenry and We The People are not as knowledgeable as we should be. GW Bush is becoming a New World Order dictator. Can we stop him?
