Of course we could go on and on in answer to this silly email, in fact we
have. As reported at this site, President Clinton did as much as possible about
"Bin Landon [sic]" over strong Republican opposition. Also as we established,
the right wing - not "libs" - have demonstrated an uncanny in ability to keep us
safe dating back to at least the end of World War One.
The Bush/Cheney crew ignored pointed warnings and failed to meet the growing
threat of attack before 9/11. Now they say 9/11 was a wake-up call, but they
still ignore the threats to our ports, our nuclear plants, our railroads, etc.
They refuse to buy up the nuclear materials remaining in unsteady hands in
the former Soviet Union. If 9/11 really was a wake-up call, it seems Bush
and Cheney hit the snooze button.
