Regarding Maureen
Dowd's article entitled Dudgeons and Dragons in which she savages Howard
Dean because she never got an interview. Knowing him as well as she does,
she has lots of really nasty things to say about his character. Warning: this
article is rated VA for very angry.
Wow, Maureen. You seem to have taken all the criticism that your last attack
on Dean garnered to heart. You have to realize that Dean fans are true blue and
no matter what anybody says about him they're not going to waiver. The reason
for that is that he is standing up to the bullies that are running our
government and he talks about taking our country back. But it's also because he
has a lot of great ideas.
But, unfortunately, now you have exposed yourself as being just another one
of our lazy press-corps who only rely on what other reporters have to say to use
as fodder for your columns. Judy Woodruff is like that too. I also heard her say
something very close to what you say here, "But a race rooted mainly in
attacking the president may not take Dr. Dean far enough."
Just to help you out, here's the link to an article called "Dean is Thinking
Outside the Box" http://www.esoterically.net/log/archives/001293.html.
It outlines some of the main points of Gov. Dean's agenda. Can you pass it on to
Judy?
And as for this quote, "George W. Bush recounted overcoming alcoholism and
career drift by embracing Christ. " Have you ever asked George Bush anything
about Christ? Because if you had, you'd realize he doesn't know anything. He
claims to be studying a different book of the bible every morning for a month,
but he doesn't know what book they're on and gets really mad when you ask him.
Calls it a trick question. I ask you, why would a man who has found Christ be OK
with killing tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis for his own personal monetary
gain?
This is where I start to get mad. And though this is going to be seen as over
the top, I'm not backing down. You say, "Voters want someone who's been through
the fire. They care about character. They want to know the evolution of the man,
even if it's a myth."
Did you already forget about the Charlie Dean thing? That you were
criticizing the governor's wife in your last article? How dare you say that this
man has no character because his father wasn't an alcoholic and his son didn't
have cancer? His brother went missing in the 70's and they only just found him a
couple of weeks ago, for one thing. And you all called that a political ploy.
God, you're the scum of the earth. No kidding.
Do you even have a freaking clue what doctors face every day in their
careers? They tell people they're dying. They tell people their children are
dying. They try to treat people and fail. They make human mistakes and get sued
for them. They, and this is true for Dean, see 13 year old girls who are
carrying their father's child. That's why he's against parental notification. Do
you have any idea what that's like Maureen?
What the hell is wrong with you people? Are you being paid by your bosses to
keep a bunch of thieving, conniving, hypocritical scoundrels in the White House
who talk about Jesus while blithely murdering people? God told Pat Robertson
that Bush is going to be elected in a landslide. Give me a break. This is your
fault, you know. All of you. Do you like it that our country is hated the world
over and that our president is thought to be the most dangerous man on the
planet.
Did you not hear about the former Treasury Secretary's book? And didn't you
see that document that had all the oil fields marked off with who was going to
get them? Or were you one of the journalists who thought the important question
of that day was whether or not Paul O'Neill betrayed his former boss?
Don't you get it, Maureen? They Lied!! They lied
about everything. They lied about Iraq. They lied about the weapons. They lied
about Jessica Lynch. They lied about 9/11. They lied about the tax cuts. They
lied about the environment. They lied about the Medicare bill. They lied about
the energy bill. They lied about the appropriations bill. They lied about No
Child Left Behind. They lied about the Florida election. And you are all
accomplices to that.
You said things about Al Gore that weren't true and then beat him to death
with them. He says he "invented the Internet"...no he didn't but if anyone can
take credit for giving it a big boost, it's Al Gore. You said that he lied about
going to Texas with the director of FEMA. Well, he was mistaken on that one but
you neglected to mention that they went 18 other places together. You see,
someone makes these things up and then imbeciles like you, who call themselves
journalists, use them over and over again to ruin people. You should all be so
ashamed.
If Gore were president right now, we wouldn't be in Iraq. There's a great
possibility that 9/11 wouldn't have happened because he would have heeded all
the warnings from Berger, Hartman, Nunn and Clarke. Don't you know any fresh out
of high school kids who are being sent to Iraq with 2 weeks of training for
18 months?? I do.
Have you been to Walter Reed Hospital and seen the amputees? I haven't either
but I'm not a journalist. And Dick Cheney, as we
speak, is going around telling people that terrorists are plotting to kill
hundreds of thousands of our citizens right here at home, even while our
national guard gets sent to die in Iraq, and that this is a war that's going to
last generations and take place all over the world. Scary, Maureen? It's way
more than scary...it's evil.
You are complicit in this. All you self-serving, sociopathic,
desperate-for-a-story people who call yourselves writers. We blame you for the
state of our country today. But we are going to beat you this time because we
have a scrappy candidate who won't be stopped by the crap you all make up about
him. If you think he's a monster, then you created him. But we think he's an
angel and a savior and closer to anything Christ-like than George W. Bush has
ever been in his ignorant, spoiled, miserable life.
