It has come to my attention that George W. Bush has called for a national day
of prayer on May 6, 2004. I would like to answer him back and state that not a
day goes by that I am not praying for his defeat come November and for the world
madness he created to stop. I do not see him as a man who prays, but a man who
preys.
He has brought about so much misery to this planet that at times words fail
me at expressing my true feeling concerning him. I do not see him as being a man
of peace but a man who wants a piece of the pie for his own selfish gains.
As he stated this in his letter to the American people, "On this National Day
of Prayer, we pray especially for the brave men and women of the United States
Armed Forces who are serving around the world to defend the cause of liberty. We
are grateful for their courage and sacrifice and ask God to comfort their
families while they are away from home."
I am repulsed by this simply because in less than a week's time, 21 of our
soldiers are now dead. April in Iraq for us has been one of the bloodiest months
to date since we attacked Iraq under his orders. He will not allow photos of our
war dead coming home to be photographed and one such photographer was even fired
for doing so.
America, if these men and women sacrificed their lives shouldn't you be
praying the very man who placed them in harms way is taken out of office? George
W. Bush states that they sacrificed their lives for God and nothing can be
farther from the truth. They were sacrificed to the gods of greed period. I
would also like to know what liberty he speaks of, when those we tried to
liberate do not want us there. The continuing violence only proves this
fact.
He then goes onto say, "We also pray that the people of Iraq and Afghanistan,
and throughout the Greater Middle East, may live in safety and freedom. During
this time, we continue to ask God's blessing for our Nation, granting us
strength to meet the challenges ahead and wisdom as we work to build a more
peaceful future for all."
Well, Mr. Bush it is my guess that the people of Iraq and Afghanistan are
also praying to see you replaced come this fall because you have preyed upon
them as well. I would like to know what safety and what freedoms you have
brought those people, Mr. Bush? From many reports I have read, not much. The
only thing you have brought them is sheer misery.
Yes, I want God's blessing and I only see that happening with your removal
from office. You keep on citing God's message, but let me remind you, Mr. Bush,
God does not approve of lies being told where the end result is death to the
many innocents you have claimed. The very ones you have preyed upon. Yes, we do
have many challenges before us, but we can prayerfully handle that and we pray
that you suffer defeat in November. I only see a more peaceful world when you
are not the commander in chief of our armed services.
I find the ending paragraph in this letter very interesting, Mr. Bush. It is
where you state, "Now, therefore, I, George W. Bush, President of the United
States of America, do hereby proclaim May 6, 2004, as a National Day of Prayer.
I ask the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, each according to his or her
own faith, for the freedoms and blessings we have received and for God's
continued guidance and protection. I also urge all Americans to join in
observing this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities."
This is about the only time that I see you as being proactive in anything
that concerns the American people where you call for us to pray. Prayer alone is
not action, Mr. Bush but a cop out. The only things you have been proactive at
are the very things that have destroyed our reputation worldwide and where
millions still to this day continue to suffer.
You have threatened our security as well. Howard Dean was correct when he
said the capture of Saddam Hussein would not make for a safer world and the
actions that have occurred since his capture only goes to prove you were wrong.
You have preyed too long and we shall start praying and backing it up by action
to insure that the world is rid of you. We do not have to attend any events on
May 6th to pray to God. In my opinion, God would abhor the attending of said
events as an outward sign as showmanship.
In essence, Mr. Bush, I just do not see you as being a prayerful man, but a
man who preys upon the world's people with the death and destruction that only
the Devil would sanction.
